ABOUT THIS VEHICLE
The car has a very interesting history..... The vehicle was originally brought over for another "importer" but the person never actually sent any funds to purchase the vehicle.... The export company in Japan purchased this vehicle for the individual along with 3 other vehicles at the individuals request. And the person in USA never actually paid for the vehicles, but the exporter in Japan had already purchased and shipped them!! When the vehicles arrived in the USA the "importer" (who will not be called out) tried to retrieve the vehicles without paying anything to the exporter in Japan. The exporter in Japan was obviously paniking because they never received funds for the vehicles and the vehicles were collecting late fees every day, and the person in the USA that requested the vehicles was not sending money to Japan.... So in an attempt to not lose the cars and not lose a bunch of money and not have to have the vehicles shipped back to Japan; the exporter contacted us asking if we could help them with the situation... They offered to sell the vehicles to us at a greatly discounted price since the original purchaser was trying to pull some shady business. We agreed to help the Japanese exporter out and purchased the vehicles, then we were given all the paperwork to retrieve and release the vehicles from the port.....

When we first retrieved the vehicles they were in ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CONDITION... Definitely something we would never purchase for our inventory!!! So we had these 4 vehicles that we basically just tried selling at cost because they were so ugly no one wanted them!  This Sera was the last one remaining at our facility. By this time maybe 3 years this car has been sitting outside at our lot collecting dust, and eventually a friend purchased it for a good deal. But he had no place to put the vehicle so he asked if we could keep it outside in our parking lot. So the Sera sat at our facility for another 2 years where the new owner would occasionally come and do some work to it a couple times a year.... Then at some point the new owner came back and reported there was a loss in the family that was really hard for him. He was in need of money and asked if we would buy the car back for a really really low price. We gave him more than he was asking for so we could give him and his family extra support.

After we regained posession of the car, maybe 1 year later we found some free time to start working on the car. First thing we pulled out the big dents and started on the bodywork. We also pulled the interior and had all the seats professionally reupholstered. Then we spent a lot of time fixing the clutch issue which took forever to diagnose and repair. Then we fully refreshened the engine with all new sparkplugs, fluids, belts and hoses because it had been sitting so long the engine needed a complete overhaul. Then after it was running and we were able to get it into gear we took it on a road test and realized the clutch was VERY bad so we brought it back into the shop and put a new clutch. Then we did window tint, coilovers and new wheels!!  The car can be lowered a lot more but we keep it at a comfortable riding height so it will be easy to load it onto trailer incase this vehicle will be shipped to a new owner somewhere far away.

FINANCING
Traditional banks typically will not allow financing for any vehicle older than 10 years old. For this reason most banks will not do auto loan for a JDM car. PLUS the fact that JDM cars vin number are NOT 17digits which makes banks nervous! We recommend using a collector car financing company like one of the three mentioned below.
To be approved you will need to have proof of employment for at least 6 months, have good credit history (helps if you financed a car before). You will need at least 680 credit score and at least 15% down payment.
